About the client

VIP Barber Lounge had an established website focused primarily on barbering services. As the More Than a Barber Podcast grew into a larger media platform, the website needed to evolve with it. I redesigned and restructured the digital experience to bring the barber lounge, podcast, education, products, sponsorship opportunities, and community under one cohesive platform. The redesign reflects the shift from a traditional barbershop website into a broader media and lifestyle brand while preserving the foundation and identity of VIP Barber Lounge.

What they needed

The site needed to expand beyond barbering services, establish MTAB as the primary podcast and media platform, preserve the connection to VIP Barber Lounge, make podcast episodes and video content easier to discover, support sponsorship and partnership inquiries, and continue offering barber appointments, education, and products — all within one cohesive experience with improved mobile presentation and navigation.

What needed solving

The original website was designed primarily around VIP Barber Lounge and its barbering services. As the More Than a Barber Podcast expanded, the existing structure no longer represented the full brand. The redesign needed to give the podcast a stronger presence without disconnecting it from the business and community that helped build it.

I restructured the website into a connected platform that supports both VIP Barber Lounge and the More Than a Barber Podcast. The updated experience gives podcast content greater visibility while maintaining access to barbering services, booking, education, products, and partnership opportunities. Clear navigation and consistent visual styling help each part of the brand feel connected.

Design and development process

The redesign moved in phases so each part of the brand could be restructured without disrupting the live business.
